Site with Flexible Product Catalogue

Built on the same principles as the Business Web Site package, but with a flexible database of products operating behind the scenes.

When you have a product range that changes from time to time, or you want to publish prices that need updating regularly, or maybe you have a large number of products then this is the route for you.

Why a Database?

With standard HTML, you can have a product catalogue but it must be entered manually into the page and uploaded onto your Web Server. Client Software can develop a web site that gets its information about the products from a database. The site can have facilities for you to update your product database online: you just log into an area of your site that has restricted access and add, remove or edit your product list.

The Technology

The Product Catalogue package from Client Software is based on Microsoft's Active Server Pages technology (ASP). The web pages are created dynamically by the server, including information from a database, for example. The resulting page that is sent to your customer's browser is standard HTML, meaning it will run in any browser - all the processing work is done on the Web Server.
